Your Google Business Profile helps people find you. Your website helps them choose you and contact you. For most home-service businesses, the two work best together.
What your Google Business Profile does well
It is free and it shows up where local customers search: Google Search and Google Maps.
- Shows your name, phone, hours, service area and reviews in one place.
- Lets people call you or get directions in one tap.
- Reviews on your profile are one of the things customers look at most when choosing a contractor.
What a profile can’t do on its own
A profile is a short summary on Google’s page, laid out Google’s way. It has limited room to explain each service, show the towns you cover, answer common questions, or take a detailed quote request with photos.
Your website is the place you control. It can have a page for each service and each town you serve, a quote form that sends leads straight to you, and your own photos and wording.
How they help each other
- Your profile links to your website, so people who want more detail can get it.
- Your website shows the same name, phone and service area as your profile, which helps Google trust that the information is right.
- Clear service and town pages give Google more to understand about what you do and where.
When a profile alone might be enough
If you are booked solid from referrals and don’t want more work, a well-kept profile with good reviews may be all you need for now. If you want more jobs, or more of the jobs you prefer, a site that turns visitors into calls and quote requests is usually the next step.
What we do
We set up or clean up your Google Business Profile on every plan, and we build the website so both say the same thing. We don’t promise rankings: nobody can honestly do that. We make both as clear and fast as we can, and you see your real numbers every month.
